Interactive Fiction and the Halloween Horror Special

Halloween Rush...

So, about 6 days ago I realised that if I am creating a horror themes podcast, then I should really make use of the fact that Halloween was fast approaching. I wanted to do something a bit different, and I had already created "The Devil Box", which was a spooky-looking interactive webtool that could open a sound file based on the series of symbols you entered.

'The Devil Box': a way to select audio files by entering a series of four symbols. Use this to complete the interactive story in the Strange Circle Halloween Horror Special.
The Devil Box

The time was ripe to try a piece of interactive fiction but based in an audiobook format.

The Halloween Special Episode can be found here.

If you have listened to the episode, at the end the narrator indicates that the story is not over. Indeed, the symbols mentioned in the story can be used on The Devil Box to continue.

I must admit that I rushed this one a bit. It was not as long or as complex as I would have liked. It's a bit of an experiment, so give it a go and see what you think.
